ProWein offers matchmaking app for exhibitors and visitors

ProWein has launched a new networking app called ‘Matchmaking Tool’ that is compatible with IOS and Android OS systems for trade exhibitors and visitors, in an effort to facilitate networking among participants for the upcoming ProWein in Düsseldorf in Germany.

Accredited trade visitors and exhibitors can already search for the right contacts and products in the run-up to ProWein on the app, which would send out proposals to its users on relevant people to talk to.

The app can be found on ProWein’s website or by searching ‘ProWein Matchmaking’ in app store on smartphones and iPads.

Those already with tickets for ProWein can access the app, using their log-in data to save their interests and search parameters. Thanks to a fast matching of these interests, proposals and personal suggestions for contacts are generated instantly for its users, said ProWein.

“Tuned to the given interests and needs, the Matchmaking Tool brings together our exhibitors and trade visitors in a targeted manner already in the preparatory stages of the trade fair. This makes trade fair preparation even more efficient for both sides,” says Marius Berlemann, director at ProWein and global head of Wine and Spirits.

The program was developed by the British software think-tank Grip, which specialises in networking solutions and has already won numerous awards such as the ufi technology award, for example.

This year, the exhibition will take place in Düsseldorf from 18 to 20 March. The fair will cover an area around 71,000 m2, which is around 2,000 m2 more than last year’s ProWein – itself a record-breaker in terms of scale.
