Martha Stewart is heading to Vinexpo New York
Domestic goddess and committed oenophile Martha Stewart is just one of the VIPs planning to head to Vinexpo New York next week.
Stewart, who runs her own online wine retailer Martha Stewart Wine Co., will attend the two-day trade show on 5th March, planning to walk the show floor between 2 and 3pm
The company sells a curated selection of wines from California, France, Italy and Spain personally chosen by Stewart, and includes a wine club and year-long gift subscription.
Stewart branched out from home furnishings into wine with the launch of a home delivery service back in April 2017, roping in former French Laundry sommelier Chris Hoel to help her pick the wines in a collaboration with wine delivery marketing company ‘Drinks’.
Stewart will attend to network with Vinexpo New York’s 500 exhibitors. The event is expected to attract up to 3,000 buyers over the two days.
Running from 5th to 6th March at New York’s Jacob K Javits Convention Centre, Vinexpo New York will play host to 10 masterclasses including tastings organised by Wine Australia, InterRhône, the Crus Bourgeois du Médoc, classes devoted to Austrian and Spanish wines, a seminar led by Masters of Wine, and a Pinot Noir masterclass from Decanter.
Last year, Vinexpo Group announced it would be expanding its footprint for the annual wine show, nearly doubling the floor-plan at its upcoming US event to cope with the surge of registrations.
