Lanson extends five-year partnership with the O2 arena

Champagne Lanson has renewed a five-year agreement with the O2 arena which will see it gain exclusive pouring rights at all public bars in the venue.

Lanson has been in partnership with the O2 since 2008. The extension to the deal, negotiated by AEG Global Partnerships sees the Champagne house gain pouring rights at all public bars within the venue, which attracts over nine million visitors each year.

In addition, the O2 is set to install a new Lanson-branded Champagne bar inside the arena that will be available for all visitors to use.

Lanson will also be the official Champagne served during celebration climbs for ‘Up and the O2’. These climbs, which run from May until September 2018, see visitors scale the dome roof and enjoy a Champagne toast at the summit.

The Champagne celebrated the renewal of its partnership by inviting members of the press for a tasting of three of its Champagne labels at the O2’s Amex Lounge followed by pop icon Mariah Carey’s Christmas concert – her only date in London.

The media were invited to try Lanson’s Rose Label, Lanson Père et Fils and Lanson White Label, all served in magnums, before the concert.

At the launch of the partnership, Nathan Kosky, vice president of AEG Global Partnerships, said: “Lanson has been a partner of our venue since 2008, delighting fans with their range of premium Champagnes”.

“As the world’s leading venue, the O2 will continue to give Lanson access to millions of fans each year at a range of events including music, sport and comedy. We are thrilled to have them on board for a further five years”.

Paul Beavis, managing director of Champagne Lanson UK and International, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to extend our partnership with the O2. We known that once visitors try our style of Champagne that they become advocates.”

“The O2, with over 9 million visitors annually, offers us a unique opportunity to showcase our vast range of Champagnes, which helps to reinforce Lanson’s position as the perfect aperitif Champagne for those special moments for visitors to the O2 whatever the occasion might be, as well as the perfect start to celebrate 2018 and beyond”.
