London Wine Fair to debut British drinks showcase

The London Wine Fair has unveiled the first of its new exhibitor zones for its 2018 show, with Drinks Britannia set to expand its reach beyond the world of wine to shine a light on British beer, wines and spirits.

Its launch is part of a wider refresh of the show, with Hannah Tovey taking over as head of the London Wine Fair earlier this year following the departure of Ross Carter.

Located on the ground floor of Olympia’s Grand Hall, Drinks Britannia will be a stand-alone section dedicated to British drinks, space for up to 50 producers, and will give the show the opportunity to showcase producers beyond the world of wine, with the aim of broadening its appeal.

“The UK has a reputation for producing some of the finest spirits, beers and ciders in the world, and with English wineries going from strength to strength, we can now add wine to this list of top notch drinks products,” said Hannah Tovey, head of the London Wine Fair.

“We wanted to celebrate and champion this exciting and vibrant industry with its own dedicated area and we are confident it will attract more U.K. based buyers than ever before as well as tap into overseas markets, particularly those beyond Europe.”

There will be three tiers of stand packages and a diverse range of exhibitors, from boutique bathtub gins to established beer brands, according to the show’s organisers.

The London Wine Fair has also refreshed its brand image, with a new look logo and website, tying in with the refreshed direction under a newly-appointed sales and marketing team, led by Tovey.

Exhibitors looking to book within the main body of the show or within Drinks Britannia should contact j.hough@londonwinefair.com, call +44(0)20 7973 4613, or visit www.londonwinefair.com.

The London Wine Fair will take place between Monday 21 and Wednesday 23 May next year.
