Whyte and Mackay has announced its brand ambassadors from the British and Irish Lions. Stuart Hogg (Scotland), Conor Murray (Ireland) and Eliot Daily (England) have all signed up alongside former lions star Adam Jones (Wales) for the Lions Tour in New Zealand from 3 June – 8 July.

Amstel Bier has launched ‘Team Cavendish’ to celebrate its partnership with Prudential RideLondon. The eight-man ‘Team Cavendish’ consists of people named ‘Mark Cavendish’ headed up by the cycling legend himself.

Helen Fielding, author of the Bridget Jones series, received the ultimate honour this week at the Hay Festival. Awarded the 2017 Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction, she was presented with a jeroboam of Bollinger special cuvée alongside a Gloucestershire Old Spot pig, named Bridget Jones’s Baby after her winning work.

Michel Roux Jr, his daughter Emily Roux and father Albert Roux OBE, met with Tottenham Hotspur’s Ledley King at Roux at Parliament Square to announce the hospitality partnership between Tottenham Hotspur and the Roux Family.

Renowned bartender Steve Schneider of Employees Only Bar, Singapore & New York, came to London for the Summer Star Bartender night at GŌNG bar. On level 52 of Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London, it is the highest bar in Western Europe. Along with the GŌNG bar team, Steve served five signature cocktails, showcasing his ‘superhero’ precision high-speed style.

The Whisky Exchange created the ultimate Islay whisky bar at this year’s Feis Ile festival of music and malt on the Hebridean island of Islay. The bar was set up inside Ramsay Hall in Port Ellen for three days of the festival and offered over 75 interesting and rare Islay whiskies, from favourites like Lagavulin 16 Year Old, to rarer bottles such as Ardbeg 1967 28 Year Old Pale Oloroso Sherry Cask.

With the competition at the Cannes International Film Festival hotting up this week celebrities and guests were able to cool down with a glass of the official wine of the festival, Mouton Cadet, which was served at its rooftop wine bar during a schedule of Press junkets and evening gatherings.

Amongst the stars spotted at the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar in Cannes this week were Eva Longoria, pictured here with Madame Camille Sereys de Rothschild, at a gala evening in aid of the Global Gift Foundation.

British film star Dominic West also visited the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar during the Press gathering about his new film The Square.

Mouton Cadet hosted an Ice Pool Party at Cannes on Wednesday night at which it launched its new Ice Rose wine. Pictured at the party are social media stars from the UK and Germany Ellie Adams, Mike Quyen, Julia Haupt and Dennis Mitch.

The Jury of the Cannes International Film Festival, including Will Smith and Jessica Chastain, gathered at the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar after awarding the Palme d’Or to The Square starring Dominic West.

Hudson Whisky launched its new 70cl bottle on a cruise boat on the Thames. Guests sipped a selection of cocktails including Manhattans, sours and Old Fashioneds.

Seedlip founder Ben Branson celebrated his double win at last week’s db awards at the chelsea flower show, where the company’s apothecary-inspired garden took a gold medal. Branson and garden designer Dr Catherine MacDonald walked db‘s Arabella Mileham through the design and planting, which was heavily influenced by the 16th century treatise that inspired the creation of Seedlip itself, the Art of Distillation.
