Lanson prepares for summer of sport

Champagne Lanson has announced its line-up of summer activities, including sporting tie-ups and new releases.

As usual, the house will be sponsoring the Wimbledon Championships in July, the 16th year it has been the exclusive partner of the prestigious tennis competition (and the 40th year since it began supplying Champagne to the tournament). Meanwhile, in June, Lanson will be sponsoring the Chestertons Polo in the Park event for the third year.

Held from 9-11 June at Hurlingham Park in London, Lanson will recreate its ‘Champagne Garden’ from last year and will be focusing on its White Label cuvée (a sec Champagne designed to be drunk with slices of fruits or a sprig of mint) and its rosé.

At Wimbledon, meanwhile, the house will officially launch its latest wine and its first organic cuvée, ‘Green Label’, which will be served at all of the bars and hospitality marquees in the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Furthermore, in what is itself something of a growing tradition, Lanson will release its latest neoprene bottle cooler jackets. This year the design mirrors the design of a tennis court with the green of the lawn and white stripes.

Paul Beavis, managing director of Champagne Lanson International, said: “We are delighted that Champagne Lanson has reached such an incredible milestone through our partnership with The Championships, Wimbledon.

“Once our unique style of Champagne is tried by visitors to The Championships, we hope they will become advocates. We also hope to build on this with the launch of our new organic Green Label Champagne and through our other fun campaigns outside the bottle, like our celebratory green neoprene bottle cooler jackets, and White Label Wimbledon foil bottles, so that our partnership with The Championships, Wimbledon continues to be nurtured and cherished, our wines continue to be enjoyed and our innovations can carry on, year after year.”
