Armit to partner Philharmonia Orchestra

Armit Wines has announced it has become the wine partner of the Philharmonia Orchestra in London.

The partnership will run until March 2018 and will see Armit supply wines to the VIP bars, as well as at two private recitals which will be “paired” with two of the top wines in the merchant’s portfolio, Gaja and Rioja Alta.

Kirsten Kilby, managing director of Armit Wines, commented: “We are really excited about this new partnership. It is a relationship of mutual support bringing together art lovers who will hopefully go on to become buyers of fine wine as well as philanthropists of the Philharmonia. Our desire through working closely together is not only to support the arts, but also to show another side to wine.

“We want to encourage people to consider the emotive experience of enjoying a fine wine, which is akin to the sensations experienced when viewing great art or, in this case, listening to stirring music. The recitals we have planned will pair the style and sentiment of the music with the character of the wine and I am really looking forward to seeing the reaction of the audience. We are very proud to be supporting the arts in the UK.”
