Ponti takes on Spanish wine Gramona
Hong Kong wine merchant Ponti Wine Cellars has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Spanish winery, Gramona, to sell its white wine range within Hong Kong.
The range includes a Demeter certified wine made from indigenous white grape Xarel-lo, a certified organic Sauvignon Blanc, a ‘Gessami’ (a blend of two varieties of Muscat) as well as two ice wines.
Located in the Alt Penedès region, 30 kilometres south of Barcelona, the winery sources grapes from 124 hectares of vineyards that are farmed biodynamically – 60 hectares that the Gramona family owns and 64 hectares of purchased fruit from growers that are also practicing biodynamics.

The family-run estate is also using geothermic energy and recycling all the water used to reduce its carbon footprint.
