Zachys announces next HK auction

In its first Hong Kong auction of 2017, Zachys will highlight some rare Left Bank as well as a wide assortment of Japanese and Scotch whiskies.

Rare bottles of Le Pin will be one of the highlights of Zacyhs next Hong Kong auction

Over 900 lots with a combined high estimate of HK$50.7m (US$6.5m) will be on offer on Saturday, 25 February at the Mandarin Oriental in the first of Zachys 2017 sales.

Featuring the first installment of the Executive Collection, the auction will see various Left and Right Bank lots go under the hammer with a particular rare quantity of Right Banker, Le Pin and cases of the 100-point vintages of 1989, 1990 and 200 Petrus, as well as other back vintages of Cheval Blanc and Ausone.

On the other side of the Gironde, Lafite 1982, 2000 and 2005 are offered in multiple case quantities as well as Latour 1982, 1990 and more 100-point vintages of 2009 and 2010. A 5L bottle of 2000 Mouton is also up for grabs.

Elsewhere, there are jeroboams of 2005 Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Echézeaux, Grands Echézeaux, Richebourg and Romanée-St-Vivant, including an extremely sought-after six magnum collection of 2005 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.

Top-shelf spirits also get a look in with a large range of hard-to-find expressions, including a 20 Year Old Bourbon Family Reserve Pappy Van Winkle and rare bottlings of Bowmore and Port Ellen, as well as individual bottlings of Macallan such as the Macallan-Glenlivet and Gordon & Macphail 25 Year Old Single Malt and 1950 Glenfarclas.

Lovers of Japanese whisky will also not be disappointed as highlights include a mixed lot of four bottles from the extremely rare Hanyu Ichiro’s Malt Card Series: Eight of Clubs, Eight of Diamonds, Eight of Hearts and Eight of Spades, and a full house of five bottles of Hanyu Ichiro’s Malt Card Series: Six of Clubs, Six of Hearts, Six of Spades, Three of Clubs and Three of Hearts.

A rare bottle of Karuizawa Ocean 21 Year Old Single Malt 1965 and a rare bottle of Karuizawa Golden Dragon 40 Year Old Cask #8833 Single Cask 1972 will join the auction block too in what looks to be a strong start of the year for Zachys.
