Premiere Napa auction to put lots online

The Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) has announced that over 40 lots from its annual auction will be put online for international buyers to bid on for the first time.

The auction, which features specially blended and bottled wines from numerous high profile Napa producers, will take place on 25 February.

For the first time a number of lots, 45 in total, will be available to bid on online ahead of the main event on 24 February.

Bidding is only open to licensed members of the wine trade.

“Sharing Premiere Napa Valley wines with our trade partners from around the world is an inspiration for winemakers in crafting these one-of-a-kind wines,” noted Andy Erickson, who along with Annie Favia of Favia Erickson Winegrowers, is the chair of the 2017 Premiere Napa Valley Steering Committee.

“The wines for this auction truly represent the spirit of collaboration, creativity and innovation that drives us in the Napa Valley, and knowing that they have such a broad reach makes it even more exciting.”
