Three Rivers Gin picked for McKellen Stewart play

A craft gin produced in Manchester has been named an official sponsor of the launch party for No Man’s Land – a West End show starring theatrical luminaries Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.

Firm friends, the esteemed thespians are set to appear on stage alongside each other in No Man’s Land, written by Nobel Prize laureate Harold Pinter, which opens in the West End on 20th September, following a successful run on Broadway.

Manchester Three Rivers Gin, made in small batches in a 450 litre copper pots still, will be poured at the launch event via its own branded Gin bar, offering the fledgling brand a unique platform for promotion.

‘”Being part of No Man’s Land is an incredible opportunity for Manchester Three Rivers Gin”, said master distiller Dave Rigby. “As a new brand being able to sponsor prestigious press nights such as this is very exciting and we hope it is the first step in building a national platform”

Created in Manchester city centre’s first modern-day gin distillery, Manchester Three Rivers Gin is made using a combination of 11 botanicals.

Subtle perfume on the nose precedes a particularly smooth mouth-feel with mid palette sweetness derived from vanilla, cinnamon, almond and oats. Finally cardamom gives way to a satisfyingly long, spicy, black pepper finish.

No Man’s Land will run at the Wyndham’s Theatre for 14 weeks until 17 December.
