Duddell’s launches experimental cocktail menu

“R” de Ruinart, Mezcal, beetroot juice and fudge are just some of the eclectic ingredients picked by salon manager, Marek Vojcarcik for the new summer cocktail menu at Duddell’s.

The Champagne Julep

Low alcohol creations include the Champagne Julep (HKD $145) with seasonal fruits, vanilla-infused Hennessy and topped with “R” de Ruinart and the Thirsty Hipster (HKD $145) featuring an Aperol-style with fresh lemon juice, Mancino secco, Gran Classico, egg white and sparkling wine.

Back to the Roots (HKD $145 blends Mezcal, beetroot juice and a pinch of salt with mushroom oil, crispy bacon and maple syrup while Bloody Soldiers (HKD $145), is a dramatic twist on the Bloody Mary, featuring Duddell’s tomato mix with Red Snapper g
in, Belvedere vodka and Mezcal, served in egg shell glasses presented on a bed of sand and bamboo.

Coffee lovers should plump for the Kaffa Kan (HKD $145), an Arabic style coffee with a “secret blend” of liqueurs and is inspired by Vojcarcik’s time in Egypt.

Swing with Erin (HK$145) is for those sweet-toothed drinkers. Dedicated to Erin Lillis-Arrowsmith – a friend of Duddell’s – it’s a mix of Erin’s homemade fudge and Teeling whisky.

The Imperfection menu shines a light on the classics with the Truffalo (HKD $145), a twist on a whisky sour using a concoction of fat-washed Teeling whisky, truffle aged egg white and seasoning while a Negroni turns into the Gojiro-ni (HKD $145): a blend of Tanqueray gin, Rinomato bitters, fair goji and berry water.

Duddell’s will also continue to serve its punch bowls for groups with The Stubbs, using rye vodka and cold hibiscus tea served with dehydrated orange; Duddell’s No.8 created with sweet coconut and Pisco topped up with Chinese herb and The Bohemian which blends Becherovka liqueur, Pilsner Urquell and citrus.
