On Wednesday 15 June in central London Concha y Toro head winemaker Marcelo Papa will present a one-of-a-kind masterclass on ‘extreme’ Chile.

During an event at Mayfair’s Westbury Hotel between 5 and 7pm, Papa will look at the developments taking place in the sourcing and winemaking of Chilean Chardonnay, focusing on the country’s ‘extreme valleys’ in the far north and south of the nation – Limarí and Bio-Bio respectively.
Marcelo will show how he is experimenting with different vineyards, comparing and contrasting winemaking techniques. He will explore a series of of samples from his latest projects from differing sites and varying techniques in Limarí, as well as revealing for the first time works in progress from a new project in Bio-Bio. The final new vintage wines shown will be Marques Chardonnay 2015 and Maycas Limarí Quebrada Seca 2015.
Marcelo is recognised as one of the most influential winemakers in Chile and oversees the winemaking for one of the world’s largest wine producers.
