Seresin, which is owned by New Zealand-born cinematographer Michael Seresin, becomes the second biodynamic estate in Louis Latour’s portfolio alongside McHenry Hohnen of Margaret River, Australia.

The estate was previously distributed by Armit Wines in the UK.

Seresin follows Champagne Gosset, Cognac Frapin and Morgenhof Estate, which have all recently joined Louis Latour. The company will list a wide range of Seresin’s wines, including its sought-after Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, as well as its Sauvignon Blancs and other aromatic varieties.

In addition, Louis Latour will also distribute Seresin’s MOMO organic wine range, which is made from grapes on the Seresin estate and from grapes sourced from selected organic growers with whom Seresin works throughout the growing season to ensure quality. Like to Seresin range proper, these wines are made using natural yeast fermentation, but have a more classic Marlborough style.

“I am delighted that Seresin Estate have agreed to join us,” Will Oatley, Louis Latour Agencies managing director, said.

“The wines have great depth and character and are the perfect addition to our portfolio of family-owned wine and spirit producers.

“We are looking forward to working closely with the Seresin team to grow their distribution amongst independent retailers and the on-trade. We have a long history of working with quality, family-owned New Zealand producers and we are excited to have the opportunity to offer another iconic winery.”

Michelle Connor, Seresin Estate general manager, added: “Louis Latour Agencies is part of a family business that stretches back over 200 years. The values associated with this are complementary to Seresin Estate – recognising the importance of personality and individuality of the wines and brands.

“They work with some of the best independent retailers, wholesalers, restaurants and hotels, making Louis Latour Agencies an ideal partner to expand our UK distribution.”
