Summergate takes on Beluga Vodka
Hong Kong fine wine and spirit importer Summergate has taken on the exclusive distribution for premium Russian spirit brand, Beluga Vodka.
Beluga is the first vodka to join Summergate’s ‘Spirits of Independence’ portfolio and will be available to Summergate’s private and trade clients across Hong Kong and Mainland China.
The premium Russian vodka brand was established in 1900 in Siberia and the range available for the Chinese market includes the Beluga Noble, Beluga Transatlantic Racing, Beluga Allure and Beluga Gold Line bottles.
According to the Chinese Customers Bureau (CTI), overall imports in 2014 of whisky and brandy into Mainland China were down 18% and 15% respectively, whereas white spirits categories have enjoyed a “substantial increase” in imports over the last two years as China consumers are looking for alternatives.
