Viña Ventisquero appoints UK brand ambassador

Leading Chilean producer Viña Ventisquero has appointed Janina Doyle to manage the development of the Ventisquero brand in the UK.

Janina Doyle previously worked as head sommelier at Beast restaurant in Marylebone

Doyle joins Ventisquero from Beast restaurant in Marylebone, where she spent the last 18 months as head sommelier, responsible for the venue’s 250-plus bin wine list, which included Ventisquero’s flagship Pangea wine.

“This is an important appointment for us,” said Americo Hernandez, Viña Ventisquero’s key account director.

“Janina brings a wealth of on-trade experience with her and will be instrumental in growing the Ventisquero brand in this sector.

“She also understands the important role that the New World can play in today’s new breed of fine dining restaurants.”

Doyle is currently studying for her WSET diploma and was awarded the Porter & Laker Scholarship in 2014.

In 16 years, Viña Ventisquero has cultivated prime vineyard sites throughout Chile’s most recognised grape-growing regions: Maipo, Casablanca, Leyda, Apalta and Peralillo, as well as vineyards in the Atacama Desert.

Viña Ventisquero was founded by Gonzalo Vial, owner of Chile’s leading fresh food producer, AgroSuper.
