‘Dreamy’ wines up for grabs at Acker auction

A plethora of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Rhone will be on offer at Acker, Merrall & Condit’s “dreamy” next New York sale.

Taking place on 9 March at Rebelle Restaurant, Acker, Merrall & Condit’S ‘Full Tilt’ auction features wines from a private collection which have been cellared in Octavian before going on offer in New York.

Particular sale highlights include double magnums of 2010 Lafleur, 2009 Liger-Belair Echezeaux, 2009 Vogues Bonne Mares and 2010 Hudelot-Noellat Richebourg.

Fans of white Burgundy will also find 1998 DRC Montrachet, Domaine Leflaive, Fevre and Henri Boillot, and Rhone returns with select vintages from Guigal La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque.

Other lots to look out for include 1995 Charles Heidsieck, 2004 Dom Perignon and 2000 Philipponnat, with some classics from Solaia, Ornellaia, Unico and Vintage Port.

Calling the auction a “dream sale,” John Kapon, Acker, Merrall and Condit’s Chairman, said: “What a superb, world-class collection from perfect storage in the UK. This important collection has been featured in our auctions before, and no matter how much we sell from it, we are always amazed by what comes next.”

The next sale in Hong Kong will be on 19 March at Grissini in the Grand Hyatt.
