Chinese bloggers furious at drunken expats
A rowdy group of foreigners cavorting on the Metro in Shanghai has sparked outrage among Chinese Weibo users.
Images taken by commuters have surfaced online, showing a group of drunk expats “drinking and callously spilling beer on the floor of the train.”
The photos were taken in Shanghai on the Metro and purport to show raucous behaviour and men and women hanging from the handrails and “causing unease to the people on board.”
The women involved also started kicking each other “and gave a wedgie to one of the men in the group,” reported one Weibo user.
Many have deemed the group’s behaviour as uncivilised and unacceptable, once it was aired via CCTV.
“We cannot abide this behaviour in China,” said one user on Weibo..
The incident was believed to happen in Shanghai last Sunday, but has since been trending on Chinese social media ever since.
