The Wine Society has been forced to recall several batches of its own-brand Prosecco amid fears that the bottles might shatter.
Customers are being advised not to open bottles of The Society’s 75cl Prosecco from specific batches, and instead contact The Wine Society for a refund. The bottles affected carry lot numbers L15S051, L15S092, L145322, which can be found on the bottle neck just below the gold rim of the foil capsule.
The wine was sold through the company’s mail order service. All customers that have bought the product have been contacted.
