Pierre joined Veuve Clicquot in 2007, working particularly on red wines in the company’s winemaking facilities in Bouzy. He also took part in wine communication in several of Veuve Clicquot’s main markets over the years.

Pierre’s tasks in his new role will continue in this fashion, working especially on rosé Champagne, oenological development and innovation, and communicating Veuve Clicquot Champagne around the world.

Dominique Demarville, chef de caves at Veuve Clicquot to whom Pierre will report, said his appointment will ensure the continuation of the Champagne house’s commitment to quality.

He said, “We at Veuve Clicquot are determined to go on with the permanent quest for excellence to please our brand lovers. Innovation remains a historical and essential mainstay in the development of our wines.

He continued, “I’m really glad to be able to count on Pierre’s strong experience in our team to guarantee the quality of our Champagnes”.

Pierre’s appointment comes after Cyril Brun left Veuve Clicquot in Feburary to take over as cellarmaster at Charles Heidsieck, following the sudden death of his predecessor Thierry Roset.
