Critic Suckling partners with YesMyWine

Wine critic James Suckling has signed an agreement with China’s biggest online wine retailer, YesMyWine.com, to provide internet-based  Chinese  language content for the merchant’s seven million registered users.

The content will include blog posts, tasting notes and e-newsletters. Suckling said of the deal: “The Chinese market is one of the most exciting in the world at the moment.

“There’s been a slow down at the top end of the market but the rest of the market shows healthy growth as Chinese consumers look for good quality wines. The problem is finding useful and accurate information…JamesSuckling.com plans to provide this with YesMyWine.com.”

Yes My Wine CEO, Dixon Yuan, added: “We want to provide the best information about wine possible for our customers and followers, and James and his team at JamesSuckling.com will provide this sort of information in Chinese.”

All of the editorial content will be published online and supported through the key social media outlets in mainland China such as WeChat and Weibo.

Yes My Wine was founded in 2008 and currently has more than 5,000 wines and spirits from over 15 countries in its portfolio. Last year it sold over 5.7 million bottles and reported a turnover of RMB 520m.
