Meadowood is a luxury golf resort and spa and wine estate. First founded in 1964 as a country club, it wasn’t until 1979 that William Harlan saw its potential and set about transforming it into a hub for the local winegrowing community and a  luxury destination. Since 1981 it has played host to the Auction Napa Valley, cementing its importance within the world of wine. The resort’s modern American restaurant, simply titled The Restaurant, offers a prix fixe menu heavily influenced by the seasons and produced using the spoils of chefs’ foraging explorations of the estate. Its wine list boasts 950 wines, mostly from California, curated by Master Sommelier Gilles de Chambure, who also offers wine education classes and winery excursions to guests.
