Les Dauphins dives into fundraising

Rhône wine brand Les Dauphins is launching its new presence on social media with an effort to raise money for UK charity Children in Need.

The brand will be using its new social media pages on Facebook and Twitter to inform consumers about its plans to raise money at the BBC Good Food Show in London.

A new website for the label has also been launched, which will be used to promote its stall at the Good Food Show, which starts on Friday 14th November, the same day as the BBC Children in Need telethon takes place.

In exchange for donations to BBC Children in Need, Les Dauphins will be giving away branded merchandise. In addition, wine broadcasting personality and author Oz Clarke, and BBC Saturday Kitchen wine experts Peter Richards MW and Susie Barrie MW, will be lending their support by inviting visitors to donate to the charity in exchange for a “selfie” with them on the Les Dauphins stand.

Tasters will be encouraged to taste and tweet about Les Dauphins and to share photos of themselves at the stand on Twitter, with a prize being awarded from Les Dauphins for the best photo.

Richard Evans, director at Les Dauphins’ UK agent Dedicated Wines, said, “We have a strong consumer following for Les Dauphins and we recognise social media as an important platform to communicate with wine drinkers in a relevant way.

“Our aim is to open up more conversations with them now and to increase their experience of the Joie de Vivre attitude and style of Les Dauphins. Specifically at the BBC Good Food Show we hope to bring the brand to an even wider audience and to raise money for a fantastic cause.”
