Last call to register for Alsace trade fair
The second bi-annual international trade fair for the wines of Alsace will take place next month showcasing the best of the region’s wines.
Around 90 of the best-known Alsace producers will descend on the Colmar Exhibition Park in France on 16 June for Millésimes Alsace, the professional trade fair for Alsace Wines, when members of the drinks trade will be able to sample some of the region’s signature styles with a focus of Rieslings, but also Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Crémant d’Alsace.
Guests will also able to take a masterclass hosted by the Meilleurs Sommeliers du Monde and an ‘older vintages’ themed workshop. More than 650 people attended the inaugural 2012 fair which saw drinks industry professionals and wine lovers alike gather to taste the wines of Alsace and explore its terroirs, culture and philosophy.
Organised by Colmar Expo and the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins d’Alsace (CIVA), the bi-annual fair targets mainly importers, restaurateurs, sommeliers, distributors and specialist retailers, as well as the international press and wine lovers.
