Wine barrels have many uses beyond their undoubtedly most important role in winemaking.

From stylish home furnishings to practical planters – a wine barrel’s life is far from over once it has left the winery.

If you can get hold of an old barrel or two there is no end to your creative potential with all manner of creations possible with a little imagination and elbow grease.

But if DIY is not your forte there are many suppliers willing to do the crafty work for you, at a cost. There is no end to the barrel-based products on offer from bistro tables and garden furniture to animal houses.
