Themes selected for ProWein 2014 tasting zone and FIZZZ Lounge

In March next year 45,000 trade visitors are expected to Düsseldorf for ProWein 2014, where the themes for the central tasting zone and FIZZZ Lounge have now been decided.

The central tasting zone brings together the ProWein exhibitors under one focal theme and as well as offering an additional presence for exhibitors, it provides valuable pointers for visitors. The zone’s motto for 2014 will be “Premium Wines – Best Quality, Best Price.”

In a statement the ProWein 2014 organisers said: “What is interesting about this theme is that the producers themselves are the ones who decide what constitutes a premium wine. They merely have to prove themselves on the market. Here value for money plays a decisive role and whether this convinces consumers.”

ProWein’s spirits hall is home to the FIZZZ Lounge, which aims to bring current bar trends to the visitors. This year’s theme is “Spirits meet Vegetables” and current world record holder in team cocktail-mixing Thomas Weinberger from Barschule München will be presenting innovative “Garden Drinks” – combos of spirits with fresh vegetable juices – for instance radish, beetroot, carrot or cucumber.

Other highlights of the fair include more than 300 tasting sessions and seminars on markets and trends. In the former location of “wine’s best friends” in Hall 6 will be international suppliers of organic wines in the “World of Organic Wine”.

ProWein 2014 will be held in Düsseldorf from 23 to 25 March. Ticket sales from the Online Shop at www.prowein.de are planned to start at the end of 2013.
