2011 saw the unveiling of a new cellar at Taittinger and the launch of an extensive range of gift packaging and merchandising material for the on- and off-trade including glorifiers, ice buckets and freestanding cooler units which continue to be extended in 2012.

The Champagne house has also formed a link with a new development from Headstart Retail, lead by Gordon Ramsay protégé James Allcock.

The new eatery, 1884 Duck Street Kitchen, is housed in a former rope factory and will serve modern British food, sourcing its ingredients from local suppliers and using seasonal vegetables where possible.

    Is it a true statement that the word “Champaign” is the Original word owned by Champagne France?

    All white sparkling wines made in America, etc. have to legally state origin of the sparkling wine as well.
    Example : “American Champagne”

    • all the champagnes are sparkling wine but all sparkling wines not the champagne because there is a wine region in France which is called champagne those sparkling wines produce in this region called champagne & rest all wine region in the world can produce only sparkling wines not the champagne

    The United States was in prohibition when that treaty was signed , they never did! So technically the U.S. wine makers can call their sparkling wine anything they want!

    Sperkling wine> the white sperkling wine from champagne reagion which has been processed by methode champonnaise is called champagne.that means all the champagne are sperkling wine but not all sperkling wine are champagne. Thank you so much.
