Natural wine stands out as Sial d’Or winners announced

A “natural wine” topped Sial d’Or’s wine category as the 2012 winners are announced.

The overall winner of the wine category was French producer Gerard Bertrand’s “Naturae”, a wine made without sulphur or additives.

Other entries included a Greek beer made from five Greek cereals: barley, wheat, rye, corn and rice and a range of spirits in sachets with an anti-drip pouring system.

The entrants were judged earlier this year at Sial Canada and will be on display at Sial Paris this October, where the overall Sial d’Or global winner 2012 will be announced.

Olivia Milan-Grosbois, exhibition manager, commented: “Sial d’Or highlights the special connection between store success and innovation, and ensures that Sial remains at the cutting edge with regards to providing, monitoring and analysing information which is so valuable to all exhibition visitors.”
