Haynes Hanson & Clark adds Norfolk arm

Haynes Hanson & Clark wine merchants have joined forces with the Norfolk-based Edward Parker Wines.

Revealing that the two companies “have been in discussions for some time”, Haynes Hanson & Clark director Siobhán Gillespie explained: “We felt the ethos of each business was very similar and geographically we complement each other perfectly.

Outlining the strengthened offer created by this merger, Gillespie noted: “By joining forces we believe our customers will gain from a broader range of wines and greater efficiency, while we maintain the high level of personal service which is so important to us both.

“Haynes Hanson & Clark will now be one of the strongest independent wine merchants in the south of England with offices in Gloucestershire, London and Norfolk.”

Established in 1978, Haynes Hanson & Clark is best known for its Burgundy, Bordeaux and Loire Valley portfolio. In addition to its wholesale business, the merchant has retail outlets in Stow on the Wold in Gloucestershire and Chelsea in London.

With the incorporation of the Edward Parker Wines team, the company will now have a further base in Melton Constable, Norfolk.
