Real Greek chain sold

The Real Greek restaurant chain has been sold by GBK Restaurants to Kefi, a company controlled by Nabil Mankarious, former operations director of Gourmet Burger Kitchen, and David Page, former chairman of Clapham House Group.

Last September Clapham House was itself bought in a £30 million deal by Capricorn Ventures, which owns the Nando’s chain. The acquisition saw the departure of Clapham House founder David Page.

In addition to plans for a new site at Westfield Stratford City this September, The Real Greek’s new owners, who bought the chain for an undisclosed sum, are now understood to be exploring further expansion plans for its healthy-eating casual restaurant concept.
