Torres to market Green List ranking

Torres is to highlight its high ranking in the drinks business green list by placing a sticker on each of the 50 million bottles it produces every year. The extra label is also an attempt to convey to consumers the company’s constantly improving environmental credentials.

The Spanish family-owned wine business is hoping to draw attention to the fact it was the highest ranking wine producer in the drinks business green list.
Coming at at number 17 (see January’s the drinks business), Torres was praised for its €5 million financial commitment to environmental practices, including the innovative use of algae to trap CO2 from fermentation.
