New sales director for First Drinks
First Drinks Brands has appointed John Hyman as its new UK sales director. Hyman joins the distributor, owned by William Grant & Sons, from Dairy Crest, where he was sales director for convenience stores.
Hyman began his career with the Danone Group and has held a number of senior sales and category roles including six years with HJ Heinz.
“I have joined First Drinks Brands at a very exciting time,” he said. “The global market has seen a surge in demand for premium brands and there is a fantastic opportunity to capitalise on these trends and drive sales in the UK premium spirits category.”
Chris Mason, managing director of First Drinks Brands added: “We are delighted to have a person of John’s calibre on board. This is a key role in developing further the success of the company and the brands we represent. John has a proven track record together with superb commercial judgement and we are very pleased to have him on board.”
