Rexam rolls out Peli-can
Wild Pelican is a new range of canned wine sourced from countries such as Spain, South Africa and France. The still wines make use of 20cl Rexam aluminium cans, which are more frequently used for sparkling wines. The addition of a Wild Pelican sparkling wine is planned for later in the year, however.
The new range was first tested at French ski resorts, and is now in the process of launching in the UK, as well as Scandinavia and Benelux, targeted at both the on- and off-trade. Wild Pelican will also specifically target channels that are suited to its packaging format, such as airlines, mini bars and cinemas.
