Sherry distributor brings quality Spanish wine to the UK
Gonzalez Byass has invested €27m in new and enhanced wine production facilities and blends from Spain.
A brand new state-of-the-art winery was opened at the end of May in Toledo, 90km South West of Madrid, as part of the investment by the producer of Tio Pepe fino among other brands. The winery building, which is divided into sections of glass, metal and wood to reflect the materials used in the winemaking process, is surrounded by 200 hectares of vineyard (planted by the company from 2001) made up of indigenous and international grape varieties.
