Soho coffee house launches whisky doughnut

Soho coffee house and doughnut bar Crosstown has launched a limited edition doughnut laced with Jura whisky.

As reported by Hot Dinners, Crosstown has partnered with Scotch single malt distillery Jura on a bespoke doughnut that mirrors the whisky’s smoky flavours.

The result is a sweet treat with a whisky cream filling and whisky glaze topped with a crumble of whisky-infused Scottish shortbread.

Priced at £3.80 or £17.00 for box of 6, the Jura doughnut is on sale at Crosstown’s flagship site on Broadwick Street.

It can also be found at Crosstown market stalls at King’s Cross, Broadway Market and Spitalfields throughout December.

The Jura distillery was founded on the Scottish island of Jura in 1963, which George Orwell described as “the most un-get-at-able place’, while he was writing 1984.
