Cert Octavian lands £30m Foster’s EMEA deal

Cert Octavian has landed the distribution contract for Foster’s EMEA portfolio of over 80 brands, including VB, Rosemount, Penfolds, Wolf Blass, Lindemans and Crown Ambassador.

The contract covers Foster’s EMEA business for three years from May 2010 with an additional two year option in a deal which could exceed £30 million.

Explaining the decision, Foster’s EMEA director, regional supply services & production, Rob Hollis said: “We were determined to conduct a rigorous tender to identify the best logistics provider for our future needs.

“Cert Octavian put together a competitive and in the end a compelling, all round business case and beat fierce competition to be awarded with the contract.

“The service we receive from Cert Octavian is excellent. They have a high calibre management team, one that inspires us with every confidence.

Cert Octavian managing director Anthony Finlayson-Green added: “This is without doubt one of the most sought after contracts in our business sector, and winning is testimony to the progress we have made as a company.

“As we come to the close of 2009, this news is the crowning glory of a very positive year, and we look forward to 2010 with immense confidence.

“Our strategic focus is to create highly satisfied customers through extraordinary care, those who will speak of and share their satisfaction to others, and in Foster’s EMEA I believe we have achieved that.”

The Foster’s EMEA contract will be handled principally from Cert Octavian’s distribution hub at Lutterworth.
