BuzzBallz goes global for the FIFA World Cup

RTD cocktail brand BuzzBallz is marking this summer’s major international football tournament with a limited-edition globe-inspired bar cart and a collection of tournament-themed cocktails.

BuzzBallz has unveiled the Buzz Around the World Bar Cart, a limited-edition globe designed to serve as a centrepiece for football watch parties during this summer’s major international tournament.

The launch comes as BuzzBallz continues to enjoy growing popularity among younger legal-drinking-age consumers. The RTD brand’s brightly coloured spherical packaging has helped it gain traction on social media platforms including TikTok, where it has become a recognisable part of the RTD conversation.

The Louisville, Kentucky-based brand said the cart reimagines a traditional decorative globe with features including interior lighting, wheels and the brand’s signature pull-tab detail. It has been designed to display BuzzBallz’s limited-edition SoccerBallz range, which comprises eight internationally inspired flavours and flag-themed designs.

The cart also includes a football-sized opening created specifically to hold the GOOOAAAAAL Melon Boulder, a three-litre format intended for sharing during matches.

Speaking about the launch, BuzzBallz president Jess Scheerhorn said: “We knew we had to supersize the party for the Big Tournament, so we’re bringing fans our biggest, most shareable BuzzBallz format yet.

“Our new Boulders are made for those edge-of-your-seat moments and big wins with family and friends. From the Buzz Around the World Bar Cart to our SoccerBallz lineup, we wanted to bring the energy, excitement, and global spirit of the tournament right into fans’ homes.”

The Buzz Around the World Bar Cart will be available through Flaviar in limited quantities priced at US$48, a reference to the 48 teams competing in the tournament. The purchase includes a BuzzBallz GOOOAAAAAL Melon Boulder and inserts designed to display all eight SoccerBallz products.

BuzzBallz said 42 bar carts will be available in the first release on 11 June at 9am CST, with a further 42 units released on 25 June at 9am CST. The company will also run giveaways throughout the tournament via its Instagram account, although alcohol is not included.

The SoccerBallz range is being rolled out to retailers across the US ahead of the tournament and includes:

  • Caipi Crush (Brazil)
  • Flags and Freedom (USA)
  • Fuego Tamarita (Mexico)
  • Pip Pip Punch (England)
  • Sol Siesta (Spain)
  • Smashentina (Argentina)
  • GOOOAAAAAAL Melon (all countries)
  • Soccer Lime Rita (soccer jersey inspired)

According to BuzzBallz, the 200ml cocktails will start at US$3.99, while the three-litre Boulder format will retail for US$29.99.

Founded in 2009, BuzzBallz describes itself as the number one selling single-serve premixed cocktail brand in the US. The company offers more than a dozen flavours, including Lime ‘Rita, Chili Mango, Berry Cherry Limeade and Lotta Colada.
