Hutong marks Year of the Horse with Peddlers Gin partnership
As today marks the official start of The Year of the Horse, London restaurant Hutong is celebrating with a dedicated Chinese New Year programme, including set menus, live performances and a drinks collaboration with Peddlers Gin.

Hutong, located on level 33 of The Shard, is marking Chinese New Year 2026 with a series of celebrations running until 3 March, in partnership with Peddlers Gin.
The programme centres on a specially curated dining experience designed to reflect traditional Chinese New Year customs, alongside a limited-edition drinks menu created with the Shanghai-born gin brand.
Set menus and traditional dishes
Guests can choose between two set menus, both priced at £128 per person, with the option to upgrade to a Window Experience for £158 per person. The menus feature a traditional Lo Hei Year of the Horse salad, made with lobster, abalone, prawns and salmon, topped with amber walnuts and sweet plum sauce.
Other dishes include steamed sea bass fillet with pickled chilli dumplings, Sichuan-style fried chicken with dried chillies, and kung po prawns. The restaurant’s signature Roast Peking Duck is also available as an add-on, priced at £120 for a whole duck or £70 for a half.
A Vegetarian Set Menu is offered for plant-based diners, featuring dishes such as mapo tofu, wok-tossed lotus root with pine nuts, and a vegetarian version of the Lo Hei salad.

Drinks collaboration and live celebrations
As part of the partnership, Hutong and Peddlers Gin have created a special drinks menu featuring an exclusive limited-edition Peddlers Gin inspired by a traditional Chinese candied fruit treat.
Festivities began on 16 February with an evening of celebrations, including a wishing tree where guests can write messages for the year ahead on wooden cards. Each guest also receives a lucky red envelope, with prizes including brunch for two.
Live entertainment forms a key part of the experience, with performances including a traditional dragon dance and Bian Lian face-changing mask performance.
Hutong is part of the Aqua Restaurant Group and is one of five global Hutong locations. The restaurant draws inspiration from the historic Hutong alleyways of Northern China, focusing on regional specialities and traditional cooking techniques.
The Chinese New Year menus and celebrations are available from 16 February to 3 March.
