Former Majestic head of buying joins M&S

Majestic wine’s former head of buying, Cat Lomax, has joined Marks & Spencer, the retailer has confirmed.

Lomax, who joined Majestic in September 2016 from Waitrose, left the specialist wine retailer at the start of January to take up the new role at M&S, in a move unrelated to the wider restructure and rebranding of the Majestic business.

Lomax, who started in mid-April, has replaced Emma Dawson MW who left the retailer in January to join Berkmann Wine Cellars as a senior wine buyer. Dawson, who joined M&S in June 2010 from Sainsbury’s, was responsible for buying wines from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Italy, the Eastern Mediterranean, South America, as well as Fine Wine.

Marks & Spencer said they were very excited to welcome Lomax to the team.
