Oz Clarke, Will Lyons and Charles Metcalfe to join Cunard two-week European wine cruise

Three stars of the UK’s world of wine are teaming up with travel company Cunard to embark on a two-week cruise of Europes wine-growing regions.

The Voyage du Vin, which will set sail later this year, will be headed up by author and presenter Oz Clarke, columnist Will Lyons, and wine judge Charles Metcalfe.

Clarke,Clarke has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows, including the BBC’s Food and Drink. “Whether you’re an existing wine buff, or simply have a love of fine wine, fine holidays and good times, the Voyage du Vin 2019 is sure to delight,” he said.

“I’m already looking forward to joining Queen Victoria in September.”

Lyons has published a weekly column on wine, formerly in The Wall Street Journal and now The Sunday Times, will also take part in the trip, alongside Charles Metcalfe, the International Wine Challenge’s co-chairman, who presented drinks items for 12 years as one of the Richard-and-Judy team on ITV’s This Morning.

Guests will get the chance to take part in daily wine tastings, pairings and fine dining, featuring over 400 wines from 23 countries, alongside talks from Clarke, Lyons and Metcalfe.

The two week voyage will see Cunard’s Queen Victoria sail to wine regions in France, Spain and Italy including calls to Vigo, Mallorca, Livorno (for Florence) Cannes, Barcelona and Gibraltar

The cruise will leave from Southampton on 6th September.
