Jameson Irish Whiskey welcomed Hollywood elite to London at the 20th Jameson Empire Awards on Sunday, 29 March. Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was just one of the stars to attend, alongside the likes of Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy and Simon Pegg.
The ever-suave Liam Neeson also made an appearance. The big winner of the night was science-fiction box office smash Interstellar, starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. The film scooped Best Film, Best Director and Empire Inspiration Award for director, Christopher Nolan.
Guests and their canine companions were invited to take brunch at the recently opened steakhouse “M” in the City of London last week. The first “Pedigree Pooch Brunch Party” saw owners pamper their pooches over a brunch that included a canine Easter egg hunt with dog-friendly chocolate and a chance to have your dog’s “pawtrait” painted.

Adrian Bridge, CEO of The Fladgate Partnership, snapped this photo at the top of Mont Blanc while on a practice run ahead of an attempt to host the world’s highest formal dinner party on Mount Everest later this month. Led by Neil Laughton, a former Royal Commando and SAS Officer, the team will trek 7,000 metres up Mount Everest carrying chairs, tables, cutlery, crockery, glasses and candles, before changing into black tie and sitting down to a dinner of miso soup (using mountain snow), rich beef stew, chocolate biscuit with popping candy and Mumm Champagne. Bridge is planning to bring with him a rare sixty two year old bottle of Tawny Port.

Love was in the air at Bisol’s winery in Santo Stefano in Italy’s Valdobbiadene this week afterJared Keele, a young wine lover from Colorado, surprised his girlfriend Martha Cronen by asking for her hand in marriage. The couple celebrated the moment with a glass of Cru Cartizze Bisol.

Staff at brewer and pub operator Brakspear were in high spirits this week, dressing up for the launch of its Honey Bee beer. Brewed by head brewer Malcolm Mayo at its microbrewery in Henley, 20p from every pint sold will go toward the Friends of the Earth’s ‘Bee Cause’ campaign to protect the bee.
Chefs of L’atelier des Chefs were let loose in Blackfriars on Tuesday ahead of the launch of its new ‘mobile kitchen’ service. The launch saw guests invited to take part in a hands-on cooking event at the OXO building. The new service means that the chefs can be hired to cook anywhere offering a unique catering and interactive cooking experience.
Guests were invited to cook up a series of dishes across a number of food stations with dishes including beef sliders, Vietnamese crayfish summer rolls, sushi, chicken fajitas and cocktails, guided by professional chefs and bartenders.
Jack Daniel’s gave rural town Holmfirth in West Yorkshire an unforgettable experience by bringing LA rock stars Rival Son to the town as part of its ‘Jack Rocks Your Town’ celebration. The band arrived by helicopter, landing on the town’s cricket pitch, before exploring and meeting the locals with the day culminating at the town’s Picturedrome venue where the act headlined to kick-off their world tour.

Old Pulteney single malt Scotch whisky announced a new partnership with The Mission to Seafarers – an organisation that cares for the world’s 1.5 million men and women who face danger each day while working at sea. One pound from every bottle of Old Pulteney 12 Year Old sold this year will be donated to the charity.
