Saturday Kitchen launches wine club with Majestic
Weekend food show Saturday Kitchen has partnered with Majestic to launch a new wine subscription service featuring exclusive wines selected by resident experts Helen McGinn and Olly Smith.
The quarterly wine club combines hand-picked bottles with recipes from leading television chefs as both brands seek to help consumers explore new wine styles at home.

Saturday Kitchen has launched a new wine subscription service in partnership with Majestic, offering consumers exclusive wines selected by resident experts Helen McGinn and Olly Smith.
The Saturday Kitchen Wine Club will deliver quarterly cases of wine directly to subscribers, with each box featuring 12 bottles alongside food pairing suggestions and recipes from chefs regularly featured on the programme.
The initiative marks a collaboration between the BBC food show and Majestic, the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer.
Exclusive wines unavailable elsewhere
Subscribers will receive a curated selection of 12 bottles every three months, comprising two bottles each of three white wines and three red wines.
According to the partners, all wines featured in the club will be exclusive to the subscription service and unavailable through Majestic’s stores or website.
McGinn and Smith have worked alongside Majestic’s buying team to source and select the wines, with each bottle accompanied by tasting notes and flavour guides.
Elizabeth Newman, managing director of Majestic Retail, said: “We are delighted to be joining forces with Saturday Kitchen to launch this exciting new wine club. Our mission at Majestic is to help our customers discover new wines they will love, and the Saturday Kitchen Wine Club will help even more people do exactly that.”
“Our award-winning buying team has worked with Helen and Olly to source exceptional, exclusive wines that you won’t find anywhere else, not even at Majestic. It’s a brilliant new way to explore the wonderful world of wine from the comfort of your own home.”
Recipes from television chefs
Alongside the wines, each case will include recipes designed to complement the selection.
The inaugural release features dishes from Theo Randall, Anna Haugh, Adam Byatt, Poppy O’Toole, Georgina Hayden and Tony Singh.
Partner Content
Future editions are expected to feature recipes from other chefs associated with Saturday Kitchen.
Amanda Ross, executive producer of Saturday Kitchen, said: “One of my biggest pleasures is tasting Olly and Helen’s wonderful wine matches. With so many bottles out there to choose from and budgets getting tighter, it’s great to have recommendations you can rely on.”
“The Saturday Kitchen Wine Club does the tasting for you, guaranteeing you brilliant bottles. It’s an easy way to explore new wine styles, build your confidence, and even get more adventurous in the kitchen with delicious recipes from some of our favourite chefs.”
Three subscription tiers
The service launches with three pricing options.
The entry-level Kitchen Classics package costs £120 per quarter and contains what the club describes as everyday drinking wines.
Kitchen Signature is priced at £160 per quarter and focuses on premium wines, while the top-tier Kitchen Showstoppers package costs £200 per quarter and contains higher-end selections.
All subscriptions include home delivery through Majestic.
Building confidence in wine
The partners said the aim of the club is to help consumers discover new wines while making wine selection more approachable.
McGinn said: “It’s been a joy to select the wines in these cases and pair them with mouth-watering recipes from some of my favourite chefs. I know that subscribers to the club will enjoy becoming part of a community of curious, like-minded wine lovers, and have plenty of fun along the way.”
Smith added: “I’ve been recommending top-notch vino for nearly two decades now, so it’s great to have the opportunity to bring some more fabulous wine selections to wine lovers across the UK, but this time delivered direct to their doorstep, entirely hassle-free.”
The launch comes as wine retailers continue to explore subscription models and direct-to-consumer channels as a way of building customer loyalty and encouraging category discovery.
The Saturday Kitchen Wine Club is now open for subscriptions, with the first cases scheduled for delivery later this year.
