Wines of South Africa restructures UK office
Wines of South Africa (WoSA) has announced a restructure of its UK operation, resulting in the redundancy of its two current London-based roles.

Jo Wehring, market manager UK & Europe, and Claudia Pritchard, PR & digital manager, will leave the organisation following the completion of their notice periods, expected at the end of May and end of April 2026 respectively.
The new UK structure will come into effect from 1 June 2026, with a single country manager UK role replacing the existing positions. WoSA said the decision follows a review of current and future business needs, adding that it remains committed to the UK market.

Wehring and Pritchard, who have a combined 19-year tenure with the organisation, are now working on their future plans and are expected to remain active within the UK wine trade.
The Wines of South Africa UK trade tasting, scheduled to take place in London on 7 July 2026, has been postponed and will be rescheduled once the new UK office structure is in place. An announcement regarding the new Country Manager UK is expected in due course.
Siobhan Thompson, CEO of Wines of South Africa, said: “We would like to sincerely thank our colleagues for their valuable contributions and dedication, and we remain focused on ensuring a smooth transition for all involved.”

Sorry to hear this news. Jo in particular has a great deal of experience that South Africa in these difficult trading times will be sorely missed. Hope both Jo and Claudia find new and fulfilling positions in the trade.
