#WeekInPictures: Pinot Noir reimagined, fashion awards and London tastings
From an unlikely Pinot Noir in Valpolicella to fashion week pours in Beverly Hills and a rum relaunch in London, the week ranged widely, with a quieter stop in Teddington for a thoughtful by-the-glass list.
Pasqua and Charles Smith rethink Pinot Noir

Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine unveiled QuattroMani at Vinitaly, a multi-vintage Pinot Noir created with Washington State winemaker Charles Smith. The project centres on Pinot Noir grown in Valpolicella, at altitude above San Giovanni Ilarione, where cooler air and marked day-night shifts shape a slower ripening. The wine draws on several vintages, 2018, 2022, 2023 and 2025, brought together to build texture and continuity rather than reflect a single year. The result sits somewhere between traditions, grounded in site while shaped by a more open, fruit-led approach, a wine which seems less concerned with typicity than with its own internal logic.
