Completing the puzzle: The Missing Piece seeks UK importer
Having just won medals for two of its wines, The Missing Piece is looking to build on its existing success by expanding into the UK market.
The Missing Piece exports to international markets including Canada, Romania, Germany, the US, China and Japan, and is seeking a UK importer to tap into what is an important market for the brand.
The Missing Piece range has been created to add the extra touch to life’s perfect moments. Two of its wines have now been awarded medals by the drinks business after being tasted by editor-in-chief Patrick Schmitt MW.
The two wines, one white and one red, have been produced from international varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
“With The Missing Piece, we’re responding to what modern consumers are really looking for: not just a bottle, but a feeling. This is wine that fits into real life. It’s approachable, emotionally resonant, and designed to become part of people’s personal rituals — from Friday dinners to Tuesday night,” the winery says of its range.
The Missing Piece’s tagline is “A bottle of wine could be the missing piece for…”, and messaging for the brand centres around the concept that it serves as a wine for every occasion. Vinaria din Vale positions the range as “the missing piece on the 14th of February, when you go to your love and say, ‘You are my missing piece'”; “the missing piece for a perfect date”; or “the missing piece for family gatherings”.

The Missing Piece Sauvignon Blanc

A softly-textured wine with a refreshing finish, featuring plenty of fruit, ranging from pear to apple and then a lingering note of juicy lemon, bringing a little bite to this easy-drinking white.
The Missing Piece Cabernet Sauvignon

- Medal: Bronze
A deeply-coloured and juicy red with masses of ripe red and black berry fruit, along with some cassis, then vanilla pod, followed by a note of cherry stone on the firm, slightly drying, tannic finish.
