Wine Paris 2025: What’s on?

From crucial panel discussions to a packed programme of masterclasses, Wine Paris 2025 is set to be its biggest and most insightful show yet.

With Wine Paris just under two weeks away, excitement is building for the 6th edition of the prestigious global trade event. From 10 to 12 February, the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles will become the epicentre of the wine and spirits industry, bringing together more than 5,300 exhibitors from over 50 countries and welcoming 50,000 visitors from 140 nations.

This year’s programme is packed with opportunities for industry professionals to engage with emerging trends, network with global leaders, and explore the finest offerings from every corner of the wine-producing world.

One anticipated feature of the event is the Academy programme, which will present 130 sessions led by 250 international experts. Among these is a masterclass focused on the appeal of Napa Valley, hosted by Patrick Schmitt MW, editor-in-chief at db. Joining him will be Florence Cathiard, Jean-Charles Boisset, and Carlton McCoy MS, who will explore why this celebrated region continues to capture global attention. This session takes place on Monday 10 February in Room 2, Masterclasses, Hall 4, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.

Crucial themes

Geopolitics will also take centre stage, with a headline panel discussion chaired by Vinexposium CEO Rodolphe Lameyse. The panel will examine how ongoing geopolitical tensions are affecting the wine and spirits industry. The conversation will feature insights from Miles Beale of the Wine and Spirit Trade Association, Don Saint Pierre of ASC Fine Wines, and Nicolas Ozanam of the Federation of French Wine and Spirits Exporters.

Commenting on the importance of industry collaboration in these challenging times, Lameyse remarked, “Industry stakeholders are therefore increasingly feeling the need to gather around a powerful hub to strengthen their ties and engage with each other.” The discussion will take place on Tuesday 11 February in Hall 7.2, Room 5 at 1-2pm.

Sustainability is another key theme at Wine Paris 2025, with several sessions dedicated to addressing the environmental challenges facing the industry. From exploring Sonoma County’s sustainable practices to Moët Hennessy’s agroecological initiatives, the programme offers actionable insights for producers and stakeholders alike. Meanwhile, the V d’Or awards will return for a second year, recognising innovation and excellence across categories such as sustainability and education.

Be Spirits expansion

Be Spirits, the event’s dedicated showcase for spirits, will once again expand its offering, with 300 exhibitors representing 34 countries. This section will highlight the growing popularity of non-alcoholic drinks, with an increasing number of producers showcasing alcohol-free spirits, beers, and ciders. The Infinite Bar, a 40-metre feature, will host 20 bars with leading mixologists, while the World of Zero tasting area will provide an opportunity to explore de-alcoholised wines, reflecting the rise of the no-and-low alcohol trend.

Exhibitor countries

The international focus of Wine Paris is underscored by its diverse range of exhibitors, with three halls dedicated to showcasing producers from 50 countries. Italy will make a particularly bold statement this year, doubling its floor space to represent all 20 of its wine regions.

Spain will highlight its rich variety of appellations, including Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Cava, while Portugal will bring wines from iconic regions such as Douro and Alentejo.

Meanwhile, South Africa will showcase its sustainability credentials alongside its celebrated Chenin Blanc and Pinotage, and producers from the United States will shine a spotlight on Napa Valley, Oregon, and Washington.

For those seeking a taste of Paris beyond the exhibition halls, the Le Off programme will offer a curated selection of over 100 wine bars, restaurants, and cocktail venues across the city. This initiative provides visitors with an opportunity to immerse themselves in Paris’s wine culture, whether at a Michelin-starred restaurant or an on-trend bar.
