Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business, said: “We’re really proud at The Spirits Business to keep this important award going in memory of a talented and greatly missed journalist, Alan Lodge.

“There is a huge amount of writing talent in the international drinks trade, and year after year I’m so impressed by the calibre of entries we receive.

“I encourage anyone who is tempted to put their writing forward for this award to go for it, and submit your entries before the deadline – I can’t wait to see what fascinating features will be up for judging this year.”
