Mendoza and beyond: around the world in Malbec
Don’t miss out on a special trade tasting comparing and contrasting Malbec from Mendoza with other regions from around the world.
The event, set to take place on 2 October at the Institute of Masters of Wine in London, will see award-winning viticulturalist and winemaker Martin Kaiser will present Dona Paula Selección de Bodega from the world-renowned Mendoza region, comparing and contrasting Mendoza with other Malbec producing regions from around the world.
There is a morning session from 10.30 – 12.00pm and an afternoon session from 1.30pm – 3.00pm.
Selección de Bodega was born from a dedicated search of the best expression that Malbec can achieve in Argentina, with 20 years of research culminating in the release of what Dona Paula considers to be the ‘Ultimate Malbec’.
The spirit of this wine is embodied in its name; and the small number of bottles produced annually are the result of an intense selection process.
The event is a blind tasting of wines from both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere exploring the effects both nature and nurture have on the taste and flavour profile of this celebrated grape variety.
Producers in the wine line-up include:
◼ Causse du Theron
◼ Doña Paula
◼ Domino Molina
◼ Familia Shroeder
◼ Kiona
◼ Romelio
