How the reverse psychology method could get you free drinks

A method of obtaining free drinks using reverse psychology and works “99% of the time” has been revealed via social media.

In a post that has since gone viral, TikToker Kendall Kiper posted her reverse psychology method, hinting that it had been a “best kept secret”.

In the video, shared more broadly via Ladbible, Kiper said she had used the method “way more often than I care to admit” and stated that it had only failed to work for her once, underpinning the point that it was a tried-and-tested way to get other people to pay for your drinks.

In addition to reverse psychology, one crucial factor she outlined also hinged on being selective about who was going to be buying you the drink and Kiper stated in her instructions that you needed to target someone with a “big ego”.

Explaining the method, Kiper said: “You need to look for a guy who looks like they have a super big ego, the bigger the ego the better and the easier this is probably going to be. Next what you’re gonna do is you’re gonna go up to him, you’re gonna approach him and you’re gonna be like ‘Heeeyyy like what are you drinking tonight?’ like ‘What are you about to order?’”

Kiper added: “He’s gonna tell you, so let’s say he’s like ‘Oh I’m about to order a Tequila soda’ and you can either be like ‘Oh I love Tequila sodas’ or you can be like ‘Oh I was gonna order a vodka cran, I would love to buy you a drink, can I buy you a drink?’”

According to Kiper it is the last bit that is the all-important reverse psychology, because it effectively works on the person’s ego and they instead insist: “Let me buy you a drink”.
