The confession was made by the actor on the Kelly Clarkson Show, admitting that her kids, both of who are under-10, had even ordered non-alcoholic beers at restaurants before.

Although she said it “sounds insane”, Bell’s husband Dax Shepard is a keen drinker of non-alcoholic beers. According to the actor, her daughter would suck and paw at the rim of the bottle when he was drinking one during walks when she was a baby.

She said: “He is a recovering addict but he likes non-alcoholic beer.

“He’d pop one open, he’d have her on his chest and we’d walk and look at the sunset. So, as a baby, she was like pawing at it – and sometimes she would like suck on the rim of it. So I think it feels to her like something special, something daddy, something family.”

Bell was keen to stress that they didn’t give alcoholic beers to the children, although she did reference a moment when one of her daughters attempted to order an alcoholic beer in a restaurant.

She said: “You can judge me if you want, I’m not doing anything wrong. Like, that’s your problem.’”

The news follows Bell’s revelation in 2020 during the pandemic when one of her children was caught on a Zoom school lesson drinking a bottle of non-alcoholic beer.
